Emre Akcakmak

Emre Akcakmak is Head of Frontier Markets and Portfolio Advisor, based in Dubai and provides macro and market analysis on Global Frontier Markets as well as Turkey, Middle East and Africa. He worked for East Capital from 2006 until 2021, first as an analyst/senior analyst and then as a Portfolio Manager on Turkey and Global Frontier Markets in Stockholm and later as a Portfolio Advisor in Dubai.
Emre holds an MSc. degree in Finance from Stockholm School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bosphorus University in Istanbul.
Emre is a CFA Charterholder and a holder of the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing. He speaks Turkish, English and Swedish.
