Yanukovych nominates SBU, defence and foreign chiefs

There were no great surprises regarding newly-elected President Viktor Yanukovych's nominations for heads of the security service SBU, defence ministry and foreign ministry announced to the Rada today March 11.
Yanuovych's nomination as new head of the SBU to replace Valentyn Nalivaichenko is former SBU deputy head, millionaire media magnate Valeriy Khoroshkovsky. Yanukovych has nominated current foreign minister, and close associate of ex-president Viktor Yushchenko, millionaire businessman Petro Poroshenko, as his foreign minister, and as defence minister a former deputy prime minister in Yanukovych's last government in 2007, and former defence minister under President Leonid Kuchma, General Oleksandr Kuzmuk.
